Where are the best places to live in New Jersey?
I'm going to be working in Newark, NJ. I'm going to be living with my wife. Looking for a place with good schools, safe, nice houses, short commuting time, friendly people, etc. Looking to spend a maximum of $500,000. I don't want to commute more than 45 minutes.

well nowhere near newark if you are looking for schools how far are you willing to commute

Take out a map of NJ and start looking at towns in Union and Morris Counties. If you stay relatively close to Routes 24 or 78 you can be in Newark in 20-40 minutes.

I'm an agent in Orange County NY, I'm about 1 hour from NYC. You can get alot for $500,000 and still be within 45-60 minutes of Newark.
