About Is it legal for a building super out on disability thats not suppose to pay rent by local law be forced to pay

Is it legal for a building super out on disability thats not suppose to pay rent by local law be forced to pay?
I work in newark nj as building superintendent and according to local law I am not suppose to pay rent . I am out on temporary disabilty and was not terminated from my position however I am being informed that I will be forced to pay. is this legal?

Doesn't sound right,you need to contact who ever oversee's building supers in NJ.In Calif so not sure what that would be called in NJ.

It is common for jobs that include housing to charge for the housing or evict you if you cannot perform your required duties
